This version 'translates' the nonsense words of the original only by naturalizing them to Japanese phonemes, i.e. changing the pronounciation just enough to match the existing speech sounds of Japanese. (Japanese is syllabic in nature, so there are no consonant clusters like "br" in "brillig", or the "sl" and "thy" of "slithy".)

The translator, Andrew Thompson, is working on developing new equivalent nonsense words that give similar images as their English counterparts. This version will be updated when that task is done.

A version of this page in native Japanese is not available at this time. This is also being worked on.
